How your AI Agent finds leads automatically

Looply's AI Agents work in the background to detect high-intent prospects on LinkedIn and across your selected buying signals. They do not just collect random names. Your Agent compares signal activity with your ICP first, then adds qualified people to the right lead workspace, Contact Lists, or Campaigns depending on how the Agent is configured. 💡 The workflow below explains how Looply evaluates and adds leads automatically. What your AI Agent watches Your Agent looks for market activity that can make outreach more timely. The exact signals depend on what you choose inside Looply. - People interacting with competitors - People engaging with content in your niche - LinkedIn profile visitors - Job changes - Hiring or company growth signals - Activity from specific LinkedIn pages or company profiles - People matching your ICP and showing relevant market activity How Looply decides who becomes a lead A person becomes a stronger lead when they match one of your selected signals and fit the ICP you defined for the Agent. Looply uses that combination of behavior and fit to decide whether the person should be added to your workspace. That keeps your lead flow focused on people with better timing, not broad cold lists. 💡 The best Agents usually combine clear ICP rules with several strong intent signals. That gives Looply enough context to find prospects who are both relevant and timely. Where those leads appear When someone matches your Agent setup, Looply can organize them into the places your team already works from. - Leads Inbox, so your team can review new opportunities - Contact Lists, so qualified leads stay organized by audience or workflow - Campaigns, when an Agent is configured to send qualified leads into outreach How often the Agent runs Agents run regularly, so your Leads Inbox and Campaigns can keep receiving new opportunities over time. You do not need to manually search every time. Once the Agent is configured, Looply keeps watching for the signals you selected and updates your workspace as new matches appear. 💡 Looply works like a radar. Some markets produce leads quickly, while narrower ICPs or quieter signals can take longer to surface the right people. What you need before leads can appear Before Looply can start finding leads automatically, make sure the basics are in place. - 1 AI Agent created - ICP defined clearly - At least 4 relevant signals activated - LinkedIn sender connected when LinkedIn-based signals or campaigns are needed 💡 If your Agent is not finding enough leads, start by checking whether your ICP is too narrow, your signals are too limited, or your sender is disconnected.

How to manually add warm leads (step-by-step)

Manual import is useful when you already know who you want to contact, or when you find warm prospects outside an AI Agent. In Looply, you can add those people from Contacts → Add leads, then organize them into Contact Lists or Campaigns depending on the workflow you want to run. 💡 Use the steps below to add a lead manually and verify the fields before saving. Before you start Before importing, decide where the leads should go and whether they are ready for outreach. - Start from Contacts → Add leads. - Choose whether the leads should go into a Contact List or directly into a Campaign source. - Make sure LinkedIn is connected when you are importing LinkedIn-based leads or planning to run LinkedIn campaign steps. - Use prospects you have a clear reason to contact, such as relevant activity, existing relationship, or strong ICP fit. Add leads from LinkedIn connections This is best when you want to work from people you are already connected with on LinkedIn. - Go to Contacts → Add leads. - Choose LinkedIn Connections. - Search or filter for the people you want to import. - Select the profiles that look relevant. - Import them into Contacts, a Contact List, or the Campaign source you are building. Those contacts will now be available in your workspace, so your team can review them, enrich them where available, and use them in outbound workflows. Add leads from a CSV CSV Import is useful when you already have a qualified list from another source and want to organize it inside Looply. - Go to Contacts → Add leads. - Choose CSV Import. - Upload your file and map the columns, such as name, company, email, or LinkedIn profile URL. - Choose or create the Contact List where those leads should be stored. - Confirm the import and review the results once Looply finishes processing the file. Add leads from an existing Contact List If the people already exist in Looply, you can reuse them instead of importing the same audience again. - Open Contacts → Add leads, or open the Campaign where you want to add a source. - Choose My Contacts or select an existing Contact List. - Review the people you want to use. - Add them to the Campaign or keep them organized in the workspace for later. Add leads from LinkedIn post engagement If the LinkedIn post engagement import is available in your workspace, use it to add people who already engaged with a relevant conversation. - Open Contacts → Add leads. - Choose the LinkedIn post engagement import option. - Paste the LinkedIn post URL you want to import from. - Start the import and wait for Looply to finish reading the visible engagement. - Review the imported people before adding them to a Contact List or Campaign. 💡 This works best when the post is closely related to your market. Engagement alone is not enough: still check ICP fit before starting outreach. Important notes - Manual imports may need review before outreach because they are not always as context-rich as AI Agent leads. - Imported leads may need enrichment before email steps are available. - Avoid importing very broad lists. Smaller, more relevant audiences usually produce better conversations. - Keep campaign actions organized inside Looply so sender activity, follow-ups, and replies stay easy to track. 💡 A warm lead is not just a name in a list. The best manual imports are people with a clear reason for outreach: relationship, relevance, recent activity, or strong ICP fit.

How to import leads from a list or CSV

You can import leads directly into Looply when you already have a CSV file or an existing list you want to use. Accepted format: CSV. 💡 Start from Contacts → Add leads, then use the steps below to upload your file or reuse an audience that already exists in Looply. Steps 1. Go to Contacts → Add leads. 2. Choose Import a CSV or CSV Import. 3. Upload your CSV file. 4. Map the columns if needed, such as name, company, email, LinkedIn profile URL, job title, or source. 5. Choose or create the Contact List where the imported leads should be stored. 6. Start the import and wait for Looply to process the file. Once imported, leads can be - Reviewed in Contacts. - Added to Contact Lists. - Added to Campaigns. - Enriched where available. - Filtered by source or list. - Exported when needed. Importing from an existing list If the leads already exist in Looply, reuse them from My Contacts or an existing Contact List instead of uploading the same audience again. - Open Contacts → Add leads or the Campaign where you want to add a source. - Choose My Contacts or select the existing Contact List you want to use. - Select the contacts you want to reuse. - Add them to a Campaign or keep them organized in the workspace. Important notes - CSV and list imports are useful for known audiences, but they may not be automatically scored like AI Agent leads. - Imported contacts may need review before outreach. - Imported contacts may need enrichment before email steps are available. - Avoid uploading broad, low-context lists. - Keep outreach actions organized inside Looply. 💡 Best practice: import smaller, cleaner lists with enough context to personalize outreach. A focused list is usually better than a large generic file.

How to export leads from Looply

You can download selected leads from Looply as a CSV whenever you need to review them, share them with your team, or move them into another workflow. 💡 Exports start from Contacts, All contacts, or a specific Contact List. Apply filters first if you only want to download a specific segment. Steps 1. Go to Contacts. 2. Open All contacts or a specific Contact List. 3. Apply filters if needed, such as list, source, signal, ICP fit, email availability, or status. 4. Select the contacts you want to export. 5. Click Export. 6. Choose Export selected contacts or Export contacts with email or phone. 7. Download the CSV file. What is included in the CSV Your export can include the contact details and context Looply has available for the selected leads. - First name, last name, email, additional emails, phone, and additional phone numbers. - Location, job title, industry, company, company URL, and website. - Import date, source, intent, ICP Score, Profile URL, Total Score, and intent keyword. - Notes, Personalized Email Message, and Personalized LinkedIn Message when those fields are available. Exporting filtered or list-based leads If you only want a specific audience, filter the contact table first or open the Contact List you want to use before selecting contacts. - Use filters to narrow the table by source, signal, list, fit, status, or contact data. - Select only the contacts that should be part of the file. - Looply exports selected rows, so the CSV should match the contacts you selected. Using exported leads outside Looply Use the CSV for reporting, team review, CRM handoff, enrichment review, or another outbound workflow where you need a clean contact file. - Review the file before importing it into another system. - Keep campaign and reply status organized inside Looply so your workspace remains the source of truth. - Avoid using old exports as live lists if the contact status has changed since the file was downloaded. Important notes - Export works from selected contacts. - Export contacts with email or phone only includes selected contacts that have direct contact details. - Your workspace plan may need export access enabled. - Review exported data before using it outside Looply. 💡 Best practice: export focused segments instead of your entire workspace. Smaller files are easier to review, hand off, and keep aligned with your current outreach status.

Your AI Agent Doesn't Find Enough Leads

There are usually four reasons an AI Agent is not finding enough leads yet: the Agent is still new, your ICP is too narrow, the signals do not overlap with your market, or the signals are not active enough. 💡 The goal is not random volume. The goal is enough ICP-fit prospects with real timing or context to create warmer conversations. 1 / Your Agent was launched very recently A new AI Agent may need time before it finds the strongest lead sources. Looply runs Agents regularly, but it may not have explored every selected signal in the first few hours or first 1-2 days. If the Agent was launched less than 3 days ago, wait 1-2 more days before making major changes. This gives the Agent enough time to scan more signals and gives you a clearer view of the first results. 2 / Your ICP is too narrow If your Agent has been running for more than a few days and the number of leads is still very low, your ICP may be too restrictive. This usually happens when the search scope is too small or when the qualification filters remove nearly everyone the Agent finds. - Your target job titles are too specific, uncommon, or written in a way people do not actually use on LinkedIn. - You selected too few industries, locations, company types, or seniority levels for the market you want to reach. - Mandatory keywords are filtering out strong prospects because the exact words do not appear on their LinkedIn profile. - Your lead matching mode is set to High Precision while the search scope is already limited. What to try: broaden your job titles with adjacent roles, add a few related industries, remove mandatory keywords when possible, and consider switching from High Precision to Discovery if you need the Agent to explore a wider market. 3 / Your signals are not relevant to your ICP A signal can be real and still not be useful for your ICP. If the people engaging with that signal do not look like your target customers, the Agent will have very little qualified volume to work with. For example, if you sell to finance leaders in Northern Europe, a small unrelated LinkedIn company page in another market may not be a strong signal. Even if the page has activity, your ICP may rarely appear there. Replace weak signals with pages, competitor profiles, posts, keywords, creators, or companies where your ICP is more likely to spend attention. 4 / Your signals are not active enough Some signals do not create many leads because they are quiet. A LinkedIn page, profile, or post that rarely publishes or receives engagement gives the Agent less activity to detect. Broad keywords can also make results noisy. Terms like sales or marketing often produce broad results without enough context. Specific terms usually work better because they point to a clearer problem, audience, or market. - Use active LinkedIn pages and profiles that publish regularly and get visible engagement. - Choose signals tied to specific problems, categories, or tools your buyers care about. - Prefer keywords such as lead generation, CRM software, AI outbound, RevOps, or other specific terms connected to your target audience. What to do next 1. Open Agents & Signals. 2. Use See previous launches to understand whether the Agent is finding profiles, filtering too many out, or scanning signals with low activity. 3. Change one variable at a time, such as job titles, industries, lead matching mode, mandatory keywords, or one weak signal. 4. Wait a few days so the Agent can explore the updated ICP and signals. 5. If results still do not improve, contact support and we can help review your setup. 💡 After changing your ICP or signals, avoid making another round of edits immediately. Give Looply a few days to collect enough signal data before judging the new setup.
